	<title>Military Loans</title>
	<description>
Payday advances are the crack rock of the military - thousands of young, unknowing soldiers take out hundreds of thousands of military loans every year without understanding the full scope of what their side of the borrowing bargain contains. Everyone knows they have to repay these military personal loans, but how fast? How much at a single time? The problem with military loans lies in the answers to these questions - very fast, and the whole loan at once. Such financial pressures are a rare find in personal loans, and yet active-duty personnel are taking out military payday loans like they are going out of style - it is an addiction,a nd if you don't cut it out your teeth will rot, fall out. Nasty stuff.

The Oh So Hep Military Loans
So many military loans are being taken out and abused by military personnel because:

 quick military loans are easy to apply and qualify for
 military loans are literally everywhere: on the Internet, and at every street corner the second soldiers step foot off their bases.
  young soldiers are fooled into believing - through clever marketing strategies and straight-up lies by the lenders - that the payday advance opportunities they find are in some way connected with the Federal government or sponsored by a specific branch of the military.
  the paychecks young soldiers receive are generally low, so low they cannot build up substantial savings to handle their own financial emergencies and pressures without turning somewhere for financial aid.
  Most soldiers are not prepared or in a position to fend off all their financial demands, so they have bad credit - and bad credit military loans are just as accessibly, and twice as dangerous, as the standard advance.

The military explicitly discourages payday lending, yet they do nothing to stem the tide. Wages are not raised to meet the increased financial pressures of today's fast money, big money society. the military does not initiate a savings program for every soldier and doesn't require even the slightest financial education. Most people would say that this is not the responsibility of the military - it is not the governments job to keep soldiers out of debt. But it is the government's job to protect those who protect the rest of us, and when military loans are severely detracting form the overall readiness of the United States armed services, the time has come for the government to take some serious action against military payday loans.

Where Big Brother Falls Short
Yet the government has done nothing but punish those soldiers suffering from debt at the hands of payday advances. Steps have been taken to curb the effects of payday lending to the civilian population - Senate Bill 834 put forth by Senator Don Perata of California called for a decreased fee and a closely regulated interest rate - but that bill was shot down by industry lobbyists before it would even come to a vote. We at Payday Loans In Depth would not be surprised if a high number of politicians had their hands in the payday advance pots - as most assuredly they do. Banks, insurance companies, consumer agencies - everyone seems to be in on the payday advance, perhaps the single financial service with he highest margin of profit lowest associate risk. Curbing the military sector of the payday advance is an impossibility because there is no military sector, only lenders targeting a specific, high profile audience that continues to abuse the payday advance privilege.
