Quick Military Loans

There is a single common phrase we hear from soldiers seeking help for their debts due to military loans - I never knew $500 could end up costing me so much. An indeed that initial $500 really isn't the difficult part - its the late fees, and that fact that virtually everyone faces them when taking out quick military loans.

No surprises with quick military loans
We're never surprised to see the number of young soldiers falling deep into debt because of these payday advances because we see their lifestyles and couldn't imagine things any other way:

Soldiers today do not make enough to effectively thrive in a cash-dominated society. Sure the stipends are steady and amount to a little more than minimum wage full time jobs, but they do not free soldiers from needing quick military loans every now and again.
But a soldier's life is anything but stable - in Hawaii one day, in Okinawa the next and you never know when it'll be your name called to the front of the lines. Soldiers put their financial obligations on the back-burner when duty calls - usually months at a time.
And when they get back to base and their lives they are greeted with a hefty bill all thanks to late fees.

Even if they repay the majority of their quick military loans their return to a regular life will be marred by hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars in unexpected late fees. And its not that soldiers don't care about their financial responsibilities, they just care about other things a whole lot more. And rightfully so.

Fighting for a change
Things do not have to be this way where quick military loans are involved. Military management does not approve of personal loans of any kind for young soldiers, but the great majority of them would benefit greatly form the low rates and long repayment terms. Will a lending program for active duty personnel ever replace military personal loans as a reliable option? Maybe - but it'll take a lot of work and a major change to established military thought.
